January 18, 2019 - L-com Global Connectivity, a manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced that it has released a line of IP68-rated, USB 2.0 cable assemblies designed for use in harsh environment connectivity applications.
The U3A00064-series cables feature a USB 2.0, Type-C, waterproof, IP68-rated connector on one end of the assembly and a standard USB 2.0 Type-A connector on the other end. Additional features include gold-plated contacts that stand up to repeated mating cycles, 32/24/28 AWG cable and double shielding to reduce the effects of EMI/RFI.
In addition to the new U3A00064 cable assemblies, L-com has also introduced a waterproof, panel-mount, Type-C connector with PC tails that is also IP68-rated. The U3B00001 features threaded couplings and an O-ring seal ensuring protection against water and dust.
