December 26, 2012 - Midwest Motion Products released Model # MMP-TM40-285D-24V GP42-04.3 -DC Gear Motor. Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, including battery power, this Gear Motor measures just 1.65” (max) Diameter, by 5.41” long and has a keyed output shaft of 8mm diameter by 25mm long.
Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 “face mount” M4 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 36mm Dia. B.C. or an optional NEMA17 Flange, is also available. The output of this fully reversible gearmotor is rated for 3 IN-LBS continuous torque, at 986 RPM, and 53 IN-LBS (6 Nm) Peak Torque.
Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 1.5 pounds, it’s an efficient design, requiring just 1.8 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full-Load Torque. This translates into long battery charge, very LOW- NOISE operation, and lower cost drive electronics. Motor windings for 12v, 18v, 28v, 36v, 42v, 48v, 60v & 90 Volts are available.
- This design is rated at an “IP 54” protection level for operation in harsh environments.
