South Beloit, IL: Minarik Drives announces the release of a torque control version of their RG60U series. The regenerative RG60U series now consists of the RG60U, the RG60-PCM with signal isolation, and the RG60U-T with a speed/torque control adder card. The speed/torque adder card allows either velocity control or torque control of a motor. In torque mode, the amount of current the motor draws is regulated instead of its speed-which is useful in many applications such as tension control.The RG60U-T comes with Enable and Inhibit terminals and the option to invert their functions.
The invert jumpers choose whether the drive runs or stops when terminals are opened or closed. Other standard features of the RG60U-T include a choice of tachometer or armature feedback, nine trimmer pots, and independently adjustable torque and acceleration pots for forward and reverse.Minarik Drives regenerative RG60U series is robust and compact, maintaining the industry standard “MM” footprint. These full-featured regen drives are rated to withstand 1G of vibration making it ideal for high duty cycle applications.
