SCHAUMBURG, IL (April 14, 2003)The new 3G3RV AC inverter from Omron features a new high-slip braking function for intermittent braking applications that shortens motor stopping time by one-third without using braking resistors. In addition to the 3G3RVs standard rotational auto-tune, a new static auto-tune function eliminates the need for motor rotation to determine and set parameters. With the 3G3RV, Omron has provided a built-in RS485/422 Modbus communications protocol and made available optional cards for DeviceNet and Profibus.The 3G3RV faceplate is split and the keypad can be used with access to the terminal strip. The removable terminal strip makes wiring simpler for installation and maintenance.
The 3G3RVs cooling fan automatically switches off when not required, prolonging fan life. When the fan requires changing, the process is simplified through a detachable fan design.The new inverter is available in 230 VAC and 460 VAC, from ½ to 150HP in 230 VAC and ¾ to 500HP in 460VAC. It is UL, cUL and CE compliant. The 3G3RV is ideal for converting applications.
