DULUTH, Ga., Aug. 7, 2007 - Cooper Bussmann's Juarez factory has put itself on track to realize $147,000 in yearly savings with the installation of its new OptiDyn Compressed Air Management System (CAMS). Since the beginning of June, OptiDyn's CAMS has delivered 38% in energy savings for Cooper Bussmann's compressed air system. Based upon current usage levels, Cooper Bussmann projects savings of over 1,400,000 kWh during the next 12 months.
When asked about his experience with OptiDyn, the Juarez facility manager stated, "Good service, great follow up...Great system. It allows us to have full control over our equipment with great savings!" To achieve Cooper Bussmann's 38% energy savings, OptiDyn's team of engineers performed a detailed analysis of the environmental and performance characteristics of the Juarez factory's compressed air system.
OptiDyn then used that data to program its patent-pending algorithm that operates the PLC-based CAMS. "Our Cooper Bussmann installation is just a taste of what OptiDyn can do," explained OptiDyn president Brad Bolton. "At the Juarez factory, OptiDyn's Compressed Air Management System is operating nine air compressors with big energy savings. Plus, the scalability of our system means we can handle dozens of compressors with even greater energy savings. What surprises most people is that our system does more than save energy.
