Harrisburg, PA - Phoenix Contact has redesigned its insulation displacement connection IDC terminal block line with the addition of a new QTC terminal block. The QTC 1.5 terminal block has a patented contact which is 20% smaller than other blocks on the market.The quick connection terminal blocks are available with 5 mm pin spacing, accept up to #22 – #16 AWG and have a current carrying capacity of 10A at 600V.
The QTC 1.5 connection system can save up to 60% of installation time. Wiring is easy, the cable is simply pushed into the contact; stripping of the wire is not required. No special tools are needed; terminations are made using a standard screwdriver.
The QTC 1.5 terminal blocks have been developed for use with accessories that are compatible with other connection technologies. The product uses the same labeling and bridge system as used in Phoenix Contact’s patented ST spring cage terminal block line.
