Harrisburg, Pa. - Phoenix Contact has expanded its popular quick connection IDC terminal block line to now include the QTC 2.5 family. Its soft pivot actuator design makes this terminal block cost effective and easy to use for wire gauges up to 14AWG.
The QTC 2.5 terminal block family includes twins, hybrids and a new fusing option. Since there is no need to strip the wire, the QUICKON-QT connection system can save up to 60% of wiring installation time. Wiring is easy—the cable is simply inserted into the contact, the pivot is actuated and a reliable, gas tight, vibration-proof termination is made.
No special tools are needed; just use a standard screwdriver.The QTC 2.5 terminal blocks have been developed for use with accessories that are compatible with the company’s other connection technologies. They use the same labeling and bridge system as used in Phoenix Contact’s patented ST spring cage and UT screw terminal block line.
This results in reduced accessory inventory if the need arises to carry other product technologies.The QTC 1.5 series terminal blocks are 5.2 mm in width, accept 24 – 16 AWG conductors and have a current carrying capacity of 10A at 600V.
The QTC 2.5 series terminal blocks are 6.2 mm in width, accept 20 – 14 AWG conductors and have a current carrying capacity of 15 A at 600 V.Phoenix Contact Inc.
