Harrisburg, PA – Engineers and system integrators designing Distributed Control Systems now have a new selector tool enabling an easy selection of input and output connection terminations. Known in the industry as FTA (field termination assemblies) or FIM (field interface modules), the various Phoenix Contact solutions can be found at www.phoenixcon.com/cabling .Users select their appropriate I/O card, choose from the various functions of the available FTA, and the selector tool will generate a bill of materials which can be saved on the website for future reference.

The selected Phoenix Contact products can provide savings by using less space than a terminal block assembly, and cut down on design, wiring and assembly time. All the modules are 100% tested, providing an error free solution.Solutions for the Emerson Process Management DeltaV™ and Honeywell Plantscape /Experion™ distributed controllers are now available and more FTA’s will soon be available. Forthcoming additions to the selector tool include CAD drawings and line diagrams, as well as new modules as they are developed. The new DCS cabling solutions complement the existing PLC cabling solutions found on the site.

Solutions are based on customer driven requests and new functions will be incorporated as needed.Phoenix Contact Inc. Quality System is registered to ISO 9001: 2000 - Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.
