Ashland, MA -- Schaefer, Inc. has introduced the C1500 Series of 600 Watt, 6U high, VME/Eurorack compatible DC/DC and AC/DC converters.The C1500 Series is available in 8 single input ranges including 10-16, 18-36, 36-75, 45-90, 80-160, 160-320VDC as well as 185-264 and 93-138 / 185-264 (switchable) VAC. Units supplied by an external PFC module with inputs of 180-200VDC and 360-400VDC or 115V and 230VAC are available.
Single outputs include 4.5-5.5, 8-10, 11-13, 14-16, 23-26, 26-30, 45-55, 58-68, 100-130, 200-250VDC.
All outputs are isolated, adjustable, and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).All units in the C1500 series have remote sensing, overvoltage protection, and current limit protection on the output. Efficiencies run up to 90%.
Operating temperatures available include -20C to +75 C and -40C to +75C.The units are packaged in a 6U x 21TE x 160 mm Eurorack module and incorporate DIN 41612 H15 I/O connectors. Options available include decoupling diodes for parallel operation, ruggedization, inhibit, Power fail/DC-ok, system reset, active current sharing, and wall mounting.Applications include locomotive controls and communications equipment, telecommunication systems, process control systems, and power stations.Mechanical and electrical modifications to standard modules available upon request.
