Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. recognized five U.S. companies for outstanding technological leadership during the 2007 Siemens Automation Summit held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla.

ATLANTA, June 18, 2007 – Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. last week recognized five U.S. companies for outstanding technological leadership during the 2007 Siemens Automation Summit held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla.Raj Batra, vice president of Automation and Motion Division, Siemens Energy & Automation, presented Customer Excellence awards to the City of Orlando’s Wastewater Administration, Electronic Power Design, Inc.

(EPD), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of America, Shambaugh & Son L.P. and Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy.The Siemens Customer Excellence Award, presented annually, honors Solution Partners, OEMs and end users that have used Siemens leading-edge technology to implement solutions that meet their customers’ needs for improved production capabilities, increased floor space, real-time information and reduced energy consumption, as well as enabling their customers to save time and money. “The recipients of the Siemens Customer Excellence Award have achieved great success in deploying Siemens innovative technologies and products,” Batra said.

“Through their commitment to customer satisfaction, these winners have enabled end users to reach their operational and business goals.”Nominations for the Customer Excellence Award were open to Siemens’ Solution Partners, and end-user and OEM manufacturing companies that currently use Siemens technology. A panel of Siemens senior and product management representatives selected the recipients of the awards.
