In this upgrade, the existing APACS+ controller hardware and logic is reused, thus minimizing re-engineering time and hardware replacement costs. “Siemens APACS+ ProcessSuite Batch software can now be replaced with PCS 7 SIMATIC BATCH,” said Teddy Tom, Siemens senior product manager.
“In the past, replacing the batch management software solution meant drastic changes to both solution hardware and controller application software.
