(July 14, 2005) — Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. is now positioned to deliver the most comprehensive combination of process automation system (PAS) migration strategy, support, and technology available in the United States.The company recently hired Ken Keiser, a long-time PAS migration marketing professional, to complement the research and development work of Siemens’ worldwide Migration Center of Excellence (MCOE).
Based at Siemens Energy & Automation’s PAS business office in Spring House, Pa., Keiser will work with the engineers at the MCOE to help customers manage the PAS lifecycles of their installed systems – including hardware and software from Honeywell, ABB (Bailey, Fischer & Porter, and Taylor), Emerson, Invensys, and Siemens – and then migrate to the latest Siemens PAS technologies. “Lifecycle management and migration have never been more important in the industrial marketplace,” said Todd Stauffer, product marketing manager for Siemens Energy & Automation’s PCS 7 distributed control systems.
“Ken and the MCOE team will help our industrial customers achieve the highest quality, efficiency, and return on investments from their operations while maximizing the value of their existing assets.”Keiser holds a B.S. degree in business administration from Temple University, and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
He has an extensive career in the process automation industry. He was most recently employed by ABB where he worked on migration strategies for legacy systems in the utilities industry.
