May 1, 2013 - Tesla announces TeslaSCADA software for Android, using connection industrial protocols OPC UA and Modbus, as opposed to using web technologies or remote desktop clients.
The native execution gives for presenting fast responding, appealing controls and data, which are finally truly functional and ultimately useable. It also lets a user implement advanced user interfaces based on Android devices like voice input for example.
The presence on the market of a large number of different devices on the Android OS (waterproof ,with RJ45 port and RS232/RS485 interfaces) opens up many possibilities for use TeslaSCADA from industrial stand-alone HMI to detect alarms or set operating parameters remotely, to the ability of acting as a low-cost SCADA client for mobile devices, to the implementation of interfaces for configuring and handling embedded systems with visualization both on a mobile device, and on integrated panel on the embedded unit itself.
