February 11, 2019 -- TRENDnet announced the expansion of its Specialty Switches line with a Hardened Industrial EN50155 M12 Gigabit PoE+ Railway Switch and two Hardened Industrial Gigabit PoE+ Wall-Mounted Front Access Switches. TRENDnet’s Specialty Switches line feature network switches designed to meet very specific needs in varying niche industries.
TRENDnet’s 8-Port Industrial EN50155 M12 Gigabit PoE+ Railway Switch (TI-TPG80) is specifically designed for use with moving buses, railways, and other rolling stock applications. Connect networking devices, such as wireless access points, surveillance IP cameras, intercom systems, passenger information display systems, or onboard entertainment systems, to a EN50155 M12 switch for onboard network controls. This M12 switch features M12 alarm relay interfaces and an M23 power interface.
The Hardened Industrial Wall-Mounted Front Access Switches Series will launch with two new switches, TRENDnet’s 5-Port Industrial Gigabit PoE+ Wall-Mounted Front Access Switch (TI-PG50F) and the 8-Port Industrial Gigabit PoE+ Wall-Mounted Front Access Switch (TI-PG80F). These wall-mounted front access switches are made in mind for narrow installation spaces that cannot support a traditional rackmount PoE switch, such as cabinets, panels, and in-wall enclosures. These hardened industrial switches are ideal for automation networks, surveillance systems, and IoT applications.
Both the Hardened Industrial EN50155 M12 Gigabit PoE+ Railway Switch and the Hardened Industrial Gigabit PoE+ Wall-Mounted Front Access Switches each features a rugged IP40 and IP30 metal housing, respectively, and is rated to withstand shocks, vibrations, and extreme temperatures (-40° – 167° F / -40° – 75° C) to operate in industrious environments. Dual redundant power inputs provide overload current protection, with an alarm relay which is triggered by a power failure.
