WIELAND ELECTRIC INC. (April, 2005) –Wieland is pleased to announce the latest version of its Wieplan software package. Wieplan assists the user with all aspects of creating a customized DIN rail assembly. Wieplan v1.7 enables the user to clearly manage custom DIN rail projects, review product specifications, create bills of materials, and easily generate drawings.

Wieplan v1.7 allows users to quickly review the library of terminal blocks including dimensional and electrical specifications. This application software guides the user through an intuitive selection of these terminal blocks based on characteristics such as function, current, voltage, and size, or by block type or part number. After composition of the terminal rail assembly, individual blocks can be jumpered and/or marked, and other accessories can be added. Plausibility checks are made with respect to end plates, partitions, covers, jumpers, etc.

Along with a bill of materials, the completed rail assembly drawing can be displayed, printed and/or exported electronically as either a .dxf or .zip file. Finally, the custom marking information can also be directly imported into Wiemarc 2.0 software used with the Wieplot 500 marking tag plotter.

Wieplan v1.7 guides the user through an intuitive selection of Wieland’s DIN rail mounted terminal blocks based on critical design characteristics such as function, current, voltage, and size; a photo of the selected terminal block is automatically shown along with dimensions and ratings. This feature helps to quickly identify the correct part numbers in creating a bill of materials. The user can also immediately view the progress of the rail configuration in the display screen, further simplifying the design process.

Operating system requirements: Windows95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000.For more information visit www.wielandinc.com .
