BURGAW, N.C. (June 13, 2003) – Wieland Electric, Inc introduces a new WK 2.5 SL/35 DIN Rail Ground block.
At only 5mm wide, this 2.5mm 2 block offers the narrowest screw clamp grounding solution in the industry, thereby requiring less space on the mounting rail and in the control panel. Also, as the 5mm width is the same as Wieland’s WK2.5/U feed through block, Wieland’s standard marking strips no longer need to be broken when marking complete rail assemblies, thus reducing installation time. This ground block is the narrowest offering by Wieland and still uses the same high quality materials found in larger grounding blocks.
According to Product Manager Tom Sudnik, “These blocks are suited perfectly for space limited automation and control applications such as CNC/Machine tools, robotics, material handling, cranes/lifts, and industrial equipment such as HVAC, boilers, ovens, etc.” The WK 2.5SL35 2.5mm2 ground block is made of a polyamide 6.6 housing with a UL 94-VO flammability rating.
The screw cage contact technology accepts wire sizes 12-22 AWG, is 5mm wide, has a 500V rated voltage, 6kV rated impulse voltage, and mounts to a TS-35 DIN rail.
