Plymouth, Minnesota: New Posi-Lok® bushings from Zero-Max provide a solid connection between shaft and mounted devices. They provide system designers with a keyless option for locking into position gears, pulleys, sprockets and other components in a mechanical system. Posi-Lok bushings feature socket-head cap screws that tighten quickly and easily. When tightened, these screws allow the inner and outer hub of the Posi-Lok to move along mutual contact surfaces. The movement between the inner and outer wedge creates a tight, friction connection between hub, shaft and Posi-Lok.
They eliminate the need for machining of keys, keyways and tapped holes. They also eliminate the need for tapered shafts, locknuts or other locking devices, which are slow and difficult to install accurately. Providing excellent axial and radial runout, Posi-Loks handle torque ranges from 52 to 5576 inch lbs. depending on size. Posi-Lok bushings are nickel plated.
They provide protection from incidental contact with salts, water, solvents and corrosion, and are a good choice for packaging, paper converting and printing applications. Posi-Loks are available in bore sizes from 1/4 inch to 1 inch, and 6 mm to 35 mm. Stainless steel models are also available on special order. Call 1-800-533-1731 for the new FREE Posi-Lok brochure.
