April 1, 2009 – ABB launched Motor Performance Management, a new service offering in North America. Being the world’s largest motor manufacturer, ABB’s MPM service leverages ABB’s expertise and proven methodologies to drive plant performance and cost reduction improvements through successful motor maintenance. MPM is a performance-based partnership where ABB assumes responsibility for managing a customer’s entire motor maintenance function, including ABB and third-party electrical motors. “ABB Motor Performance Management agreements bring proven motor reliability practices to our customers, which leads to increased cost savings.” said Niklas Brodd, General Manage of ABB Motor Performance Management.
