June 29, 2010 - Automation Systems Interconnect released a remote access interface connector that is equipped with a faceless or dead-front GFCI outlet. It can be used as a 1 1/2 HP motor control switch. The RAI-GFCI-203 is rated at 20amps. The large LED gives a visual indication of a tripped condition and it exceeds UL943 voltage surge requirements. The test and reset buttons match the device face and wiring is simplified with push-in quick wiring connections that will accept up to a 12 AWG solid wire.
The trip threshold is 4 – 6mA and trip time is 25mS, nominal per the UL standard. The outlet is housed in robust aluminum housing. The housing contains a hinged dust cover that provides protection in industrial environments. With the dust cover closed and latched, the through connector interface has an IP65 rating thereby providing a watertight seal.
