The new silicone rubber boots are used to seal the toggle switches to protect against contaminants such as salt water, lubricants, cleaning solvents, dust, dirt and grease.Made from silicone, the rubber boots feature a high tear strength along with a wide operating temperature range, allowing the sealing boots to remain pliable in cold weather applications.
The silicone rubber boots are available in full- and half-boot versions to fit all 15/32” bushings as well as a full boot to fit all 1/4” bushings.Typical pricing for the silicone sealing boots for the 7000 Series, 9000 Series and military-qualified toggle switches ranges from $1.00-$1.50 depaaaending on model and quantity.
