Montage software from Danfoss enables users to monitor utility costs in a plant by department, line or Energy Account Centers.

July 27, 2008 – With changes in global market conditions, North American manufacturers are under pressure to reduce costs and waste. Reduction in energy use is of increasing importance in order to remain competitive. A new partnership between Danfoss Solutions and JMP Engineering ensures the availability and delivery of a valuable energy monitoring and targeting software solution called Montage. This software, used extensively across Europe, can help manufacturers reduce their energy costs between 5-15%.

“We are finding companies, especially food and beverage manufacturers, are increasingly reaching out to us to help them reduce the impact of energy on their bottom line,” indicates Katherine van Nes, Director of Manufacturing Execution Systems and the Energy Management Solutions division at JMP Engineering. “They are seeing energy as another raw material cost that needs to be controlled and reduced.” The Montage tool enables the users to Monitor & Target their utility costs in a plant, by department, line, or by Energy Account Centers. By carefully monitoring and targeting the usage, significant savings can be realized.

“We have already integrated the solution into several of our customers’ facilities and it has exceeded our expectations in the scope of its impact,” adds van Nes.The partnership allows for continued success all around. Julian Hall, Business Area Manager for Danfoss Solutions notes, “As we expand into North America, partnering with an established systems integration firm was of critical importance. We look forward to working together to help manufacturers maintain a competitive edge and make a positive impact on the environment and their communities.”
