MicroPower Direct releases LDB24 series of DC/DC LED drivers
Nine models operate from input ranges of 9 to 18 VDC, 9 to 36 VDC 0r 18 to 36 VDC & provide constant current outputs ranging from 0.10A to 0.90A at corresponding output voltage levels of 14 to 48 VDC.

August 28, 2017 - Available from MicroPower Direct, the LDB24 series is a family of DC/DC LED drivers that use a “boost” design. The use of a step up circuit (rather than the more common step down) allows the LDB24 models to provide a higher DC output level than the input, which in turn allows them to power longer LED strings.

Nine models operate from input ranges of 9 to 18 VDC, 9 to 36 VDC 0r 18 to 36 VDC & provide constant current outputs ranging from 0.10A to 0.90A at corresponding output voltage levels of 14 to 48 VDC. Standard features include 95% efficiency, overvoltage protection, short circuit protection, and an analog or PWM dimming control input. A remote ON/OFF control function is available for all models.

The LDB24 series MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is 1.29 Mhours. All models of the LDB24 family are packaged in a 1.03 x 2.03 case.

They are specified for operation over the operating temperature range of up to -40°C to +85°C ambient with no derating or heat sinking required. Cooling is by free-air convection. All models are available with wired leads instead of pins.

The LDB24 series provides the stable constant current output; analog & digital controls; output power; and output voltage range required to effectively power & control high brightness LEDs in a range of applications.
