February 1, 2010 – Parker Hannifin unveiled its Advanced Technology Actuator device which utilizes the VIVA Piezoelectric technology. Parker's patented ViVa technology is based on a novel compliant device that offers greater displacement with enhanced force output, ideal for use in serial bus and battery powered applications. Additionally, the actuator's performance attributes enable the technology to replace less efficient electric motors with a simple direct drive device.
