Rexroth Accumulators Store Fluid Power to Save Energy

Accumulators ideal for hydraulic systems requiring variable and intermittent flow

Accumulators from the Industrial Hydraulics business unit of Bosch Rexroth Corporation are designed to store fluid power for intermittent duty cycles, economizing pump drive power.Accumulators can also provide emergency or standby power, compensate for leakage loss, dampen periodic pulsations and shocks, and aid vehicle suspensions. Accumulators save energy by storing pump output flow when system demand is low and supplementing output when system demand is high.Designed for hydraulic systems with variable or intermittent flow rates, hydro-pneumatic accumulators are available in a full range of diaphragm and bladder types, using pressurized nitrogen to supplement hydraulic system pressure.

Diaphragm accumulators are generally delivered without pre-charge pressure, whereas bladder accumulators are generally delivered with a nitrogen pre-charge pressure of approximately 50 psi. After installation and prior to initial start-up, the pre-charge pressure of all accumulators must be set to the application requirements or the machine manufacturer’s specifications. For more application information, accessories and a part number index, visit www.boschrexroth-us.com .

Bosch Rexroth Corporation, a merger of Bosch Automation Technology and Rexroth, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH.
