Siemens Process Automation User Community Schedules 2004 Conference – Tracks To Success

SPRING HOUSE, Pa. (Jan. 9, 2004) — Siemens Energy and Automation announces that its annual user community conference will be held in Atlanta March 17-19. The Siemens user conference is open to all users of Siemens process automation systems. This annual event provides a unique opportunity for the users of Siemens APACS+, APS, PCS, SIMATIC APT, SIMATIC IT, SIMATIC PCS 7, SIMATIC PCS 7 OSx, SIMATIC S7-F and QUADLOG process automation systems to exchange information, to learn from each other and to provide feedback to Siemens.

Representatives from companies around the globe, using Siemens process automation systems, attend this annual event. The theme of this year’s conference is “Tracks to Success,” and the program will include a variety of presentations and discussions lead by User Community members, as well as Siemens experts. The presentations are organized into information tracks such as migration, PCS 7, APACS+, fieldbus technology, automation, process safety, and MES. The conference attendees will also have the opportunity to tour Siemens 1,000-foot Exider Train. The sleek, blue train is a high-tech platform to showcase its products, solutions and services.

Jammed with technology, the 14 rail cars will house 224 plasma screens and monitors, 189 DVD players, 4 servers, 9 miles of electrical cables and almost 2 miles of data lines.The user conference will be held at the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel Atlanta.
