HOLOCON, an IEC 61499 - compliant highly distributed controller, brings true, masterless-control right down to the machine level following international standards for interoperability.

Akron, Ohio – Western Reserve Controls has announced that they will be exhibiting at AM Expo 2006, May 16-17 at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Western Reserve Controls will be located at booth number 30 Introducing for the first time WRC’s HOLOCON™ Controller – the first IEC 61499 - compliant highly distributed controller.

HOLOCON brings true, masterless-control right down to the machine level following international standards for interoperability.Utilizing the distributed control features of the HOLOCON Controller, WRC will introduce for the first time, ZIGGY™ - a hardware and software architecture providing Agile Manufacturing in a high-speed environment and Mass Customization in a high-speed environment.AM Expo 2006, a fully comprehensive advanced automation and manufacturing tradeshow, will feature the newest industrial products and technologies in the context of the manufacturing process.
