Plymouth, Minnesota: Roh’lix® linear actuators from Zero-Max convert rotary motion to linear travel and carry loads at speeds up to 70 inches per second depending on size. They are ideal for positioning operations in all types of machinery and are a less costly alternative to ball screws.Designed to handle thrust rated between 5 and 200 lbs., loads can be easily attached to the Roh’lix carrier block using two cap screws.

The Roh’lix thrust capacity is adjustable so that the system will disengage if the preset thrust is exceeded, providing overload protection if an obstruction is encountered in the system.Roh’lix linear actuators consist of three precision ball bearings (which are replaceable) at each end of a two-piece aluminum carrier block. Mounted at an angle to the drive axis, the six bearings convert drive shaft rotation into proportional linear travel. With a minimum of 90% efficiency, the Roh’lix can normally provide up to 100 million inches of linear travel.

The moveable Roh’lix carrier block travels on a smooth, threadless hardened RC 58 shaft that requires no lubrication.Besides being easy to install, the Roh’lix is compact and requires little maintenance, an important feature in today’s automation systems. Applications include pick and place, packaging machines, sprayers, back gauges, door openers, transfer table and positioners for stretch wrap packaging systems, screen printers and many other machines.Five standard Roh’lix sizes are available for 3/8 inch to 2 inch diameter shafts, or metric sizes from 8 mm to 50 mm diameter shafts. Also available: Quick Disconnect Roh’lix models that disengage the Roh’lix block from the shaft, allowing switchover of equipment from automatic to manual operation and back again.

Sizes from 3/8 inch to 3/4 inch diameter shafts and metric sizes from 8mm to 20mm diameter shafts. (Shafts not included in either Roh’lix models).
