January 28, 2020 - The combination of Softing's mobiLink interface, i.safe MOBILE's Android tablets and smartphones and ProComSol's DevComDroid App for mobile field devices has been tested as a solution for safe configuration and parameter setting of HART field devices also for hazardous areas. The bundle is available from i.safe MOBILE. i.safe MOBILE GmbH, based in Lauda-Koenigshofen, Germany, has more than 10 years of experience in the development of equipment for use in explosion hazardous areas. All i.safe MOBILE products are certified for safe use in hazardous areas (ATEX, IECEx, CSA, EAC, etc.) and are suitable for use in industry and outdoors. ProComSol Ltd, based in Lakewood OH, USA, is a developer and manufacturer of HART communication products for the process industry.

The HM-BLE, in combination with a Smart Device Communicator App on a mobile device is designed to become a full functioned, DD based, HART Communicator.

The HM-USB-ISO HART modem meets industry standards for USB connectivity. The USB interface is compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 standards. The HART interface also meets the HART physical layer specification HCF_SPEC-54.

The communicators use the TAB-EX series of Android Tablets from ecom instruments. The kits include the tablet, HART modem, and the DevComDroid DD based Smart Communicator App for Android.

Rev. 4.9c of DevCom2000 Smart Device Communicator Software for HART instrumentation adds HART-IP functionality.

The modem is registered by the HART Communication Foundation (HCF) to meet the HART Protocol Specifications.

COM-TABLET is a PC-based HART Communicator on the Tablet PC platform.

Rev. 4.7 adds a trending feature which allows users to trend the parameters of HART devices.

Enhancements in Rev. 1.6 include platform independence to work on the variety of mobile devices available such as PDAs and Smartphones.

Enhancements in Rev 4.0 Smart Device Communicator Software include support for HART 7 and WirelessHART devices.
