14 November, 2007
These ring terminals simplify the installation of insulated, heavy-gauge wire into a straight-entry terminal.

Memphis, Tenn. (November 14, 2007) – Thomas & Betts introduces Sta-Kon Ring Terminals with Expanded-Entry Vinyl Insulators to speed termination of 8 and 6 AWG wires. Designed to save time and labor, these ring terminals simplify the installation of insulated, heavy-gauge wire into a straight-entry terminal. What was once a frustrating and time-consuming chore now becomes a snap. These UL Listed and CSA-approved ring terminals have a larger opening that enables quick and easy insertion of insulated 8 or 6 AWG wires.

Once installed, they tightly grip the wire for a secure, reliable connection. The ring terminals are UL94VO-rated for flammability and easily install with the ergonomic Sta-Kon Comfort Crimp ERG2007 hand tool, along with a TBM6 ratchet tool. Ideal for OEM and larger MRO operations, they can be used to terminate wires onto terminal blocks, auxiliary equipment and more, or to connect ground wires.
